Qu’est-ce qu’un chirurgien plasticien ?
Docteur Christelle Santini : Un chirurgien esthétique est un chirurgien spécialisé en chirurgie plastique, reconstructrice et esthétique ; c’est-à-dire qu’il a été soumis au cours de sa formation à une sur-spécialisation en chirurgie esthétique.
Comment devient-on chirurgien plasticien ?
Docteur Christelle Santini : Après le tronc commun de chirurgie générale, 3 années supplémentaires sont requises pour obtenir le diplôme de chirurgien spécialiste en chirurgie plastique, reconstructrice et esthétique.
Comment savoir si mon chirurgien plasticien est qualifié ?
Docteur Christelle Santini : Le choix d’un chirurgien esthétique est très important, il faut s’assurer de sa qualification auprès du Conseil National de l’Ordre des Médecins notamment grâce à leur site Internet.
Je souhaite effectuer une intervention de chirurgie esthétique. Comment dois-je m’y prendre ?
Docteur Christelle Santini : La 1ère démarche à effectuer est de prendre un rendez-vous de consultation avec un chirurgien esthétique qualifié par le Conseil National de l’Ordre des Médecins.
Lors de cette consultation, un examen médical sera effectué et la faisabilité de votre projet sera étudiée. Une intervention sera éventuellement programmée à la fin de cette consultation.
Quelles sont les démarches à effectuer par la suite ?
Docteur Christelle Santini : Dans certains cas, certains examens complémentaires sont nécessaires, un bilan sanguin est nécessaire avant toute intervention et une consultation avec un anesthésiste est obligatoire 48h minimum avant la date de l’intervention.
Un devis est-il obligatoire ?
Docteur Christelle Santini : Oui, il est obligatoire de fournir un devis détaillé pour toute intervention de chirurgie esthétique. Ce devis doit être fourni au minimum 15 jours avant l’intervention.
Y a-t-il un suivi post-opératoire ?
Docteur Christelle Santini : Oui, le suivi post-opératoire fait partie intégrante de l’intervention. Il dure environ 1 an.
